What is your training methodology?
Positive Reinforcement and Force-Free methods are proven to be the most successful long term. I believe that it is important to build trust with your pet in order to get the best results. We will use high value treats, toys, and plenty of other sources of reinforcement.
Where will my lessons take place?
Rather than making you drive in traffic, I will come to you! Before the lesson, we will agree on a location. Most often it will be at your home or a park nearby.
Serving areas around Boston Metro:
Arlington, Belmont, Burlington, Cambridge, Lexington, Malden, Medford, Newton, Somerville, Waltham,
Watertown, Winchester, and Woburn
Will you train my cat?
While my focus is dogs, behavioral training is similar for any animal. I am happy to take on select cases for cats and other household animals.
Do specific breeds need special training?
Yes and no. While acknowledging that some breeds are known to be more motivated by certain things (hounds - treats, retrievers - tennis balls, etc), most of the training will be based on the same basic concepts. I do not believe that German Shepherds or Pitbulls need to be trained with a prong collar, and I believe it can effect the training outcome in a negative way.
